3 excellent security topics presented at Pedro's
The recent Security Meetup in San Francisco with speakers from GitHub, Synopsys, and Docker was very good. There were three main presentations:
- Secure Collaboration with GitHub by GitHub Director of Product Management Papi Menon
- Towards OSS Maturity by Synopsys Open Source Solution Manager Mel Llaguno
- Attacks on the Software Supply Chain by Docker Senior Software Engineer David Lawrence
Lots of developers from the local community were there to chat with about current projects and things they are working on on next. The organizers and sponsors had a very nice dinner/snack bar set up with more food than the group could finish.
This event was hosted at Pedro’s Cantina in San Francisco, which I originally thought was a branch of Pedro’s Restaurant & Cantina. Pedro’s is a great restaurant near the Intel Santa Clara campus where my teammates and I have had many, many events. (For lunch I recommend the enchilada suiza.) Pedro’s Cantina had good food as well and is a great venue for hosting this type of event in San Francisco.
