Trillion Dollar Coach

Trillion Dollar Coach: The Leadership Playbook of Silicon Valley’s Bill Campbell has been a really fun read for me. It’s a non-fiction, leadership-type book, but there are so many interesting anecdotes about actual companies and individuals that it’s quite engaging.

If you’ve worked in Silicon Valley companies for any amount of time you may come across individuals you’ve heard of or met in real life mentioned in this book. Bill Campbell even coached Lee Bollinger.

There are a lot of great leadership anecdotes from Google, and I also found that the book references some leadership strategies and business culture that were familiar to me from my time at Sun Microsystems. The description of “aberrant geniuses” was one of my favorite parts. It was spot on and great to read.
