Platform Engineering with AWS EKS
There were some great Amazon EKS and Kubernetes sessions at AWS re:Invent this year. If you’re a Kubernetes practitioner, check out the session on Platform engineering with Amazon EKS.
The main presentation covers a good cross section of modern tooling for production K8s: Argo CD, OPA Gatekeeper, and Crossplane.
I appreciated their comment that K8s is not just compute, but also an API that you use to provision, scale, and secure your workloads.
There’s also a great customer story from the team running EKS for the New York Times towards the end.
